Cherry Kitten began as a website primarily to house my zine and my websites, it's only been with the latest update that I expanded it to include a portfolio of my creative work. Cherry Kitten is therefore a simple storage site, one I can update when I feel like and then leave for however long I feel like, simply directing people here when I want to show them something.

The layout of Cherry Kitten is kept uninteresting and simple, strange for a site which has a portfolio that includes some webdesigns. The purpose of this is because my focus here is the content, and I don't think the layout on this website is as important as what I have on display.

As for the name, I was unaware of the connotations it may have had when I first thought of it as a name for my zine, simply two random words thrown together. I keep it now simply because I can't stand to change it after having it for so long, and because keeping the connotation there is also a little funny. About Me

My real name is actually Laura, but on the net I have gone by a lot of aliases, mainly Jetster.
I have just finished my VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education), and so am on my first steps on going out into the world. After a trip overseas I will be getting a BA specialising in Creative Arts and Culture, and majoring in media.

I've been doing webdesign for a few years, and while I feel I still have a way to go with it, I've also come a long way from the Geocities page desiginer.

All my sites are made using EditPad, and I do the coding directly. However, I'm currently learning how to use Dreamweaver effectively to be able to make websites easier.
